ADJUDICATORS – LONDON OFFICE

1. Roger Trett

FAE, MCIArb, FInstCES, and Adjudicator

Chairman and Chief Executive, Age 55

Roger has acted as the Adjudicator appointed by agreement of the parties on a variety of disputes. He was named as one of the panel adjudicators on the Royal Opera House contract. Recent adjudications include a £150,000 roofing dispute, and a £2.5m mechanical and electrical dispute.

He has extensive experience in providing commercial and contractual advice to owners, contractors, sub-contractors, accountants, solicitors, financial institutions, and in preparing and defending claims. Roger also acts as expert witness on a wide range of engineering and construction projects, and is a former Chairman of the Academy of Experts.

2. Simon Olimi Kabuzi

LLB, MRICS, MCIArb, MAE, and Adjudicator

Executive Director, Age 51

Simon is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with extensive world-wide commercial experience of major projects in the construction and engineering industries, including building and civil engineering, mechanical and electrical services and chemical and industrial plants. Simon is an Adjudicator and also has experience of acting for representing and responding parties in Adjudications. Simon also has extensive experience as appointed Expert Witness, and providing Arbitration and Litigation support.

3. Richard Swan

BSC (Hons)Eng , CEng, MICE, MSC(Arbitration), FCIArb and Adjudicator

Associate Director, Age 39

Richard is a Chartered Civil Engineer with international and commercial management experience, in the construction, engineering, and defence industries, With extensive Resident Engineer and Project Director experience, Richard is well qualified in all aspects of construction law and dispute resolution and is able to act as arbitrator or adjudicator. He is also an accredited tutor with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and runs seminars and adjudication and arbitration, and represents Referring and Responding Parties in Adjudication proceedings.
